NOKIA ASHA 300 Review, Price and Specifications

NOKIA ASHA 300 is a perfect phone for the low end market. It comes with a cheap price tag and provides most of the features of a decent enough Android. The look is also quite nice and does not look cheap. Its quite comfortable in the hands as well. It consists of a 9-pad with the keys widely spaced and not packed in small area which makes typing a breeze if you are used to typing with a 9-pad.

It consists of a 2.4" TFT Resistive touch screen with resolution of 240*320 pixels. The resistive touch is one of the cons of this set. You can get a decent enough phone equipped with its capacitive sibling in the same price range. The touch is rather jarry and unresponsive sometimes.

One of the selling points of this phone is its processor. It is powered with a 1 GHz chip which blesses this phone with a considerable amount of power. There are not much problems regarding speed in this phone.

It is running on S40 which is a good enough OS if you want to use Asha 300 only as a phone. For other stuff such as downloading apps and widgets, you will find this phone rather incapable. The Android better than what S40 has to offer as an OS.

It is equipped with a quite capable 5 MP camera. The pics are quite clear and it is also capable of shooting VGA videos. Although, the fixed focus makes close-up shots rather blurry.

This is a decent phone covering all the basic needs of an average consumer. It does not satisfy all your greed of a high end smartphone but is a typical mobile phone with all the basic features.
