SAMSUNG have not played around with the body and design of the set and have stayed to it. The only main difference is the 3.7"screen instead of 3.3" in the WAVE S8500. Also, the screen is not super AMOLED, it is super clear LCD display. It is not as good as the AMOLED but its not something you would consider a big loss. The images are still pretty clear and sharp.
The innards are also the same. It is powered with the same processor as the WAVE. So, speed is not an issue in the upgrade as well.
Coming to the software, it is running an upgraded version of the Bada OS from the WAVE. It adds some new features to the set such as Swype-like T9 Trace text input, Over-the-Air software updates.
The camera is also the same as its predecessor. It is provided with a 5 MP camera having auto-focus and LED flash. The camera works nicely with good picture quality. LED flash is pretty decent and low light shots get brightened enough to get a good enough pic.
Overall, it can't be graded as an ideal update as upto 80-90% features of the set are about the same. But still, its a pretty decent smartphone with a stylish body, powerful processor and decent software.
